Managing
Project Teams... Controlling the Key Variable
14 Instruction Hours (2 Days)
The selection and management of project teams is as important as effective
project planning. For without a cohesive project team with the chemistry
to work as a unit, project management becomes nothing more than an exercise
in professional babysitting. Successful project managers utilize proven
team management techniques in the selection, direction, and motivation
of their project teams. The synergy possible from a high-performance project
team is never left to chance. Like the project model, project teams are
built around a solid foundation of management skills and technical skills.
Every successful project manager realizes that his or her success rests
on the shoulders of the project team and its individual managers.
"Managing
a project is like managing a business." Both require the acceptance
of responsibility for the output and results of the unit. No business
executive or project manager can be successful in today's highly dynamic,
complex projects alone. That is a given.
This insightful
program offers project managers a comprehensive look at the tools, techniques,
and methodologies utilized by project managers from a broad array of industries.
