Your Instructor: Carlos R. Zervigon

Carlos R. Zervigon, a graduate of Tulane University and a certified Project Management Professional, is President and cofounder of Zervigon International, Ltd., a Registered Educational Provider with the Project Management Institute. It is a cross-disciplinary training and consulting firm offering services in project management, organizational development, human resource management, facilitation and marketing. These services are offered in English and Spanish. He has had more than forty years of consulting experience that has taken him to Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Great Britain, Australia, Mexico, Central America, South America, the Caribbean, Canada, and most states in the United States. He has worked with international corporations; small and medium size businesses; federal, state, and local governments; religious bodies, boards and organizations; citizen boards and advisory committees; educational institutions; and other nonprofit organizations. He has developed a reputation for being able to forge a consensus in cross-cultural and divergent groups. He often has been called upon to assist in the deliberation of groups who are at a point of impasse.

Core training experience includes courses in project management, project management team building, organizational change, facilitation and diversity. A number of training events have been offered in-house for a variety of organizations. These include banks, engineering firms, the petroleum industry, offshore construction, energy, manufacturing, computer consulting, universities, governments, communications, environmental sciences and petrochemical companies. Projects being managed by the participants include construction, maintenance, facilities, organizational change, informational systems, informational technology, new product development, industrial maintenance, environmental, telecommunications and infrastructure development.

Recent clients have included The New Orleans District of the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, The Louisiana Department of Natural Resources, Pan American Life Insurance Co., Dell Computer, J. Ray McDermott Corporation, Entergy, Sprint Paranet, The New Orleans Downtown Development District and The Housing Authority of New Orleans. In Jamaica he has taught project management courses under the University of New Orleans Executive Education Program to nearly 1,000 professionals.

He is Past President of the New Orleans Chapter of the Project Management Institute (PMI) and presently serves as the President of the Assembly of Chapter Presidents of PMI, which has over 200 chapters in more than 58 countries.
